This Week in Music NFTs - May 30
Music NFT Rarity. Featuring drops from Beat Foundry, Soundmint, Songcamp and more.
Music NFT rarity has entered the equation.
Generative music has been gaining momentum, with both Beat Foundry and SoundMint premiering big drops from Daniel Allan and Kaien Cruz, respectfully.
Metastars are coming to fruition, as RŌHKI revealed their first Episode and Angelbaby teased new Music NFTs leading up to a Hume Genesis Pass.
Songcamp is gearing up for it’s biggest mint yet - debuting the 77-artist headless brand called CHAOS on June 3rd.
If one thing is for sure, Music NFTs are shipping faster than ever.
But - the bear market is still running its course.
Music NFTs are suffering from a lack of liquidity and secondary market activity.
Tensions are high on Twitter as everyone looks for where to make their next trade.
I showcased some of the artists leading the charge, but it wasn’t without pushback.
As we continue to navigate murky waters, here’s what to keep an eye on.
Featured Drop - CHAOS
Songcamp is a collective for artists and creatives in web3. Think of it as an always-on, recurring digital writing camp.
Started over a year ago, the project has become the source for much of the leading conversations around web3 music through a weekly Heartbeat call every Monday at 1 PST.
This week, Songcamp is debuting their biggest project to date - CHAOS.
CHAOS is a headless brand created by 77 SongCamp artists. It will feature 20,000 NFTs with collectors purchasing a pack of songs from a custom site.
Beyond the collaborative nature, CHAOS is pushing the needle on how royalties are shared with contributors, using 0xSplits to give secondary sales back to participants through unique NFTs.
CHAOS is the premier example of a collective coming together to innovate in web3, and I personally could not be more excited to collect.
