This Week in Music NFTs - Jan 23
Open Editions on Sound. LNRZ Writing Camps. A new chapter for Music NFTs.
Open editions are coming to Sound.
In a recent push for open editions in the wider NFT market - we’re about to experience a new playbook for Music NFTs.
The pitch is simple - mint as many NFTs as you want during a fixed time interval.
Want to prove that you were there first but not need to worry about missing the drop in the first second? Well this is your chance.
While I don’t think open editions are the end all by all for collecting content - it’s a step in the right direction.
And with some of the sectors biggest artists piloting the release, it should make for an exciting week to be a collector.
Meanwhile - the LNRZ team took a trip to Joshua Tree this weekend for their first writing camps.

With appearances from Reo Cragun, DLG, Clear Eyes, Daniel Allan, Bloody White, Iman Europe, Heno, Lackhoney, Vaarwell, Mark Johns, Madalen Duke, Kaelin Ellis and Tate Tucker - more than 20 songs were made over the course of a week.
All that goes to say - we’re in for quite the ride this year.
I gave my perspective on artist development in web3 to get back into the habit of publishing once a week.

And finally, I updated my Music NFT Starter Pack playlist to give you a taste into the brewing world.
See you inside.
