This Week in Music NFTs - August 8
Community curation at it's finest. The Music NFT Launchpad, Catalog Curators, Venice Music, heds and 0xTHULU.
Community curation is coming into the picture.
Whether you’re a new artist, an emerging act or someone with an existing following - there’s a curator for you.
This week I announced the Music NFT Launchpad - a way for creators new to web3 to mint their first Music NFT. If you know someone who would be a good fit, please have them apply here.
Community leader Henry Chatfield is also gearing up to run a cohort for new creators, further expanding the ways to get started.
Catalog announced a new curator program, allowing community members to apply to onboard new artists on the leading 1/1 Music NFT marketplace. If you think you’d be a good fit, apply here.
What we’re starting to see is collectors, artists and curators alike help shine a light on emerging web3 artists.
A great example of this is the Venice Music Collective - a web3 social club and distributor which saw one of their artists - j’von - sell out his debut Sound drop within the first hour.
Another example is the support Mija received from the 0xTHULU community - helping her sell out 100 editions in less than a second. Pro Tip: I’m With the DJ Holders receive an allowlist for her upcoming mint in a few weeks.
No matter where you turn, community curation is moving the needle.
If you’re in LA, come watch us talk about it live at Soho Friends on Wednesday.
Here’s what to keep an eye out for this week.

So, I'm curious, is this really an 'all things related to music NFTs' kind of post or just things that you're personally invested in. I've mentioned our platform many times, which is live and minting music NFTs, yet it's crickets from here. I'm guessing you don't want to mention ome.audio as it's a competitor to what you have in the works. Fair play. I'll read your post from that perspective from now on. Best of luck. This comment will probably be deleted though huh.
